About

Whole Person Healing Therapy is grounded in the belief that healing involves the whole person—mind, body, emotions, relationships, identity, and sense of meaning—and that each of us carries within us the capacity to reconnect with ourselves, even when trauma, grief, or suffering has made that connection feel out of reach.

My Approach

Healing in therapy can begin with the rare gift of having your deepest pain fully seen, witnessed, and held—with compassion and understanding, and without judgment.

Within a therapy relationship that is grounded in safety, acceptance, and genuine human connection, you can begin to reconnect with yourself. As that sense of safety develops, you can rediscover meaning, reclaim your capacity for joy, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and move toward a life that can feel more authentic, connected, and whole.

I believe my role is not to “fix” you, but to create the conditions that support this process of reconnection. Through therapeutic presence, emotional capacity, and clinical skill, I seek to create a space where you can share your most profound experiences of trauma and grief, trusting that I will be your compassionate witness and guide.

I believe every one of us carries within us a deep, wise, and authentic self that remains intact beneath our traumatic experiences. In a therapeutic space, healing can occur when the conditions allow you to reconnect with the deepest parts of yourself, so you can move toward living in alignment with who you truly are.

About Me

Hi…I am Stephanie Kavoulakos. Welcome to my website!

I named my practice Whole Person Healing Therapy, because I believe that true healing embraces every aspect of who you are:  your thoughts, your feelings, the impact of your environment and your relationships. This whole person work is a collaborative effort, focused on reinforcing your strengths, cultivating emotional resilience, and deepening your connection to your authentic self. My goal for you is to feel more centered and empowered, leading you to reclaim the person you were always meant to be.

I see the infinity symbol as representing the interconnectedness of every aspect of our lives. This symbol has no beginning or end, and it highlights our enduring capacity as human beings to adapt and heal, even after we experience profound adversity.

I know how hard it can be to examine the past. In order to get to the underlying, root causes of your pain, therapy sessions can include deeper work, like EMDR Therapy, which can help you reduce the negative core beliefs that continue to get in the way you want to live your life. The deeper somatic work involved in this process can also enhance your nervous system regulation, leading you to feeling more balanced and grounded.

I do individual and couple therapy with adults, 18 and older. My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, attachment-focused, holistic and expansive, integrating a depth approach using Mindfulness & somatic practices, solution-focused strategies and EMDR Therapy.

I am here to listen, to be the person who can compassionately guide you toward an integrative healing experience, leading you to live your most fulfilling life.
